Beginning Golf I

Recommended Skill Level: None, for the novice. A fun way to learn the wonderful game of golf! You will become familiar with the fundamentals of the five shots encountered on the golf course, including wood shots, iron shots, chipping, pitching and putting. Classes will cover fundamentals, rules and etiquette.

10:1 student/teacher ratio. Maximum of 20 participants, minimum of four. Classes run five consecutive weeks.

Beginning Golf II

Recommended Skill Level: For those who have had some instruction and want to take it to the next step, playing the course.

After learning the five shots and fundamental skills needed in Beginning Golf I, Beginning Golf II prepares the student to play by demonstrating when to apply the learned skills on the golf course. We will build on full swing and short game fundamentals and develop on-course skills through practice simulations. Skill assessments will be conducted to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of your game and determine a focus for your individual practice sessions.

Skills covered:

  • Review of the five shot fundamentals
  • Introduction to greenside bunkers
  • Putting Strategy
  • Strengthening chipping and pitching skills

6:1 student/teacher ratio. Maximum of six participants, minimum of three. Classes run four consecutive weeks

Intermediate Golf I

Recommended Skill Level: For those who have been playing for a year or more and are having difficulty with the skills required to play comfortably and confidently.

The small class size offers individual attention in hitting skill shots such as sand shots, approach shots from the fairway, uneven lies and short game shots. Videotaping and club evaluation are included.

6:1 student/teacher ratio. Maximum six participants per class, minimum of three. Classes run for four consecutive weeks.

Short Game School

A good short game is essential to lowering your score. If you feel like you are giving away too many strokes around the green, then this school is for you. Designed for players of all skill levels, the Short Game School covers all aspects of the short game, including chipping, pitching, putting and bunker play. Instruction will be from 9 a.m.-noon. Registration fee includes instruction and lunch.

6:1 student/teacher ratio. Maximum 12 participants per school, minimum of three.

Full Swing School

​Are you looking for more consistent contact with your irons or longer shots with your woods? The Full Swing School covers full swing irons and full swing woods, emphasizing the swing fundamentals and common traits of the best ball strikers. Features include initial assessment on the FlightScope X2 Launch Monitor and video swing analysis. This school is designed to quickly accelerate a player’s ability and is suited for all skill levels. Instruction will be from 9-noon, with lunch served afterward.
